The Greatest Love Song Ever

George Harrison’s “Something” is probably the best love song in history. In its lyrics is expressed the essence of falling in love with someone. Normally people don’t know what attracts them to someone, and try to figure out what it is. This song doesn’t revolve around the usual ideas of attractive features. It doesn’t talk about figure, eyes or personality as the cause of the attraction of the speaker towards his lover, but he states that there is “something” about her, that attracts him “like no other lover”. 

A love song usually says that their love will last forever, and again, “Something” doesn’t follow the cliché of “eternal love”, the singer says that he doesn’t know if his love will grow but that she should stay and see it for herself. 

So, “Something” isn’t a 100% traditional love song, it doesn’t try to guess what is what made the speaker fall in love with the woman, and it doesn’t swear that their love will be forever. But somehow, it is what attracts us more about the song. In real life, we don’t know for sure why we fall for someone, or if our love will last forever. “Something” is a song about real love, not the idealized love we often see in movies and books.

The Beatles became a musical sensation in the 60's and broke up before the 70's. Some people say that they are ancient history, but the Beatles' fans from all around the world show them that it's quite the opposite. The Beatles are still alive.

There's something about the Beatles that manages to get our attention and catch us. It’s a mixture between their music, lyrics, looks and many different things that form the "Beatles' Style", and that attracts us to their music. We can’t define it, but we know there’s “Something” (as George Harrison would say) about the Beatles.

We are normally able to connect with the Beatles lyrics because they sing about topics common to all the people, and issues that concern us all. The Beatles are timeless, and that’s a big part of their charm, and that is what inevitably leads us toward their music and long-lasting fame.
